# Kalamazoo Athletic Wellness Opens Mattawan Location With Massage Therapy and Personal Training
MATTAWAN, Mich. — Kalamazoo Athletic Wellness has officially opened a new location in Mattawan, expanding the wellness and fitness business to the rural community just outside Kalamazoo's city limits.
The new location sits at 24466 Red Arrow Highway and opened for business on October 1, after months of what management described as a behind-the-scenes buildout. The business took to its Facebook page to make the official announcement to followers, signaling the expansion was complete.
Services Offered
The Mattawan location mirrors the services of the company's original Kalamazoo location at 1820 S Westnedge Ave. The business specializes in:
- Massage therapy, which is available by appointment only
- Personal training
- Scar therapy
- MLD (Manual Lymphatic Drainage)
Massages are currently available Monday through Saturday, and management noted that early availability over the first several days was open for scheduling.
Membership Packages
Much like its Kalamazoo location, the Mattawan site offers tiered membership packages. The entry-level package starts at $89 per month for a one-hour massage each month, with 50% off add-on services.
The top-tier Diamond Package is priced at $500 per month and includes:
- Two one-hour massages per month
- Four personal training sessions per month
- 50% off add-on services
- A gym membership at Raw Strength, located at 300 E Centre Ave in Portage
Community Impact
The new location adds a wellness-focused option for Mattawan residents, who previously may have driven into Kalamazoo for similar services. Management expressed optimism that the new site would prove as successful as the original Westnedge Avenue location.
The company also noted it is in the process of installing artwork from a local artist in the hallway of the new space.
More information on locations and services is available on the company's website.
