Drug Investigation Leads to Arrest on Ermine Avenue

*Comstock Township, Mich.* — A 45-year-old man from Kalamazoo County is in police custody after the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team (KVET) conducted a search of his home and discovered significant quantities of cocaine and a semi-automatic pistol.

According to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, the arrest occurred on March 31, 2026, following an investigation into illegal weapons and drug distribution.

Officer details from the investigation reveal that KVET searched the suspect's residence on Ermine Avenue near Grange Avenue and found:

  • 127 grams of cocaine
  • 46 grams of crack-cocaine
  • One semi-automatic pistol

The total amount of cocaine exceeds 100 grams, which carries serious federal and state penalties. Evidence of drug dealing was also discovered at the scene.
