A Local Star Gets the Call
*Camden Noe, a four-star running back from Portage Central High School, received a scholarship offer from Michigan State University* on Tuesday. The offer marks the latest milestone for one of the top high school football prospects in the state.
Noe, a rising junior, now holds 13 Division I offers. The Michigan State offer came after he attended a prospects camp in East Lansing earlier this month.
The Numbers Behind the Offer
According to 247Sports, Noe is ranked as:
- No. 5 overall recruit in Michigan
- No. 7 athlete in the country for the Class of 2028
- No. 116 overall prospect nationally
He carries a composite recruiting rating of 95.35 on the 247Sports scale. His offer list includes Michigan, Notre Dame, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Kansas, Toledo, Western Michigan, and Miami (OH), among others.
A Breakout Sophomore Season
Noe earned Associated Press first team all-state honors after a standout 2025 season with the Portage Central Mustangs. He helped lead the team to the Division 2 state semifinals.
His 2025 stats included:
- 1,803 rushing yards on 211 carries
- 21 rushing touchdowns
- 7.80 yards per carry average
- 24 receptions for 253 yards and 4 touchdowns
He set a career high in Week 9, rushing for 267 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries in a 40-8 win over St. Joseph that clinched the SMAC title for Portage Central, according to MLive reporter Matthew Ehler.
"Noe's recruitment is reaching another level," Ehler wrote. "The four-star Portage Central running back and one of Michigan's top-ranked prospects in the Class of 2028 picked up a scholarship offer from Michigan State on Tuesday, giving the rising junior his 13th Division-I offer and adding another major program to his rapidly growing list of suitors."
A Three-Sport Athlete
Noe stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 215 pounds. He is listed as a running back and linebacker, capable of playing on both sides of the ball. He is also a three-sport athlete at Portage Central.
He has visited both Notre Dame and Michigan State this month. Offers from Louisville and Notre Dame arrived earlier in June, adding to his growing list, according to SpartanWire reporter Robert Bondy.
Noe announced the Michigan State offer on his social media account on Tuesday.
