The Gators sit behind teams like Orchard Lake St. Mary's, New Boston Huron, Pontiac Notre Dame Prep, and Williamston. They are ahead of Edwardsburg, Spring Lake, Freeland, Niles, Hopkins, and Flint Powers Catholic in the Division 2 top 20.

The Michigan high school baseball postseason begins Tuesday, May 26 with the first round of district playoffs, according to the MHSBCA rankings release. The state tournament concludes on Saturday, June 13 at McLane Stadium in East Lansing.

A Junior Leading the Way

Bowles enters the playoffs as a junior, meaning he has two more seasons to build on his production. His five-doubles, three-homer week came during a stretch that included games against ranked opponents in the Wolverine Conference, according to Prep Baseball Michigan.

For Vicksburg fans watching from the stands at Key City Park, the question heading into the district round is simple. Can Bowles keep the hot streak going when the stakes get higher?

The Gators will find out starting May 26.
