A 52-year-old man died after being struck by a train in Kalamazoo on Wednesday morning.
The crash occurred just after 10:15 a.m. between Church Street and Rose Street, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS).
KDPS said parts of Church Street and Rose Street were closed while investigators examined the scene.
"Kalamazoo Public Safety says parts of Church Street and Rose Street are closed after a deadly train-pedestrian crash on Wednesday," according to FOX 17.
The identity of the victim has not been released. KDPS is conducting an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.

Authorities have not released details about the type of train involved or the conditions that led to the collision. The railroad tracks in that section of Kalamazoo are active freight lines.
