A Man Walking in the Dark

*Timothy Johnson* was 38 years old when he died after being struck by a vehicle in an Oshtemo Township intersection early Saturday morning.

Johnson was walking in the intersection of West Main Street and North Drake Road at approximately 4:35 a.m. on June 20 when the collision occurred, according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office.

The Crash and the Arrest

Deputies responded to the scene around 4:35 a.m. Life saving efforts were performed on site. Johnson was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The driver who struck Johnson stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators. A suspect has been arrested in connection with the crash, though authorities have not released that person's identity.
