Sheriff's Office Still Searching for Alamo Township Woman
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help finding Jennifer McCormick, a 55-year-old woman who disappeared from her home south of Otsego six days ago.
McCormick is believed to be experiencing a mental health crisis, according to the sheriff's office.
When and Where She Was Last Seen
McCormick was last seen around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13. She walked away from her home on West AB Avenue near Ravine Road in Alamo Township, deputies said.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office described her as 4-foot-8 and about 150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
Active Search Continues
Deputies and other first responders conducted searches in the area shortly after she disappeared, according to the sheriff's office.
The undersheriff confirmed Tuesday that the department was still actively working the case.
"Deputies and other first responders are currently in the area conducting searches. We are asking residents and anyone traveling through the area to remain alert and contact authorities if they may have seen Jennifer recently."
That statement was posted by the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office, according to WWMT News Channel 3.
What to Do If You Spot Her
Anyone with information about McCormick's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Kalamazoo County Consolidated Dispatch at 269-488-8911, according to both WOOD TV 8 and WWMT News Channel 3.
The search has drawn attention from residents in the Otsego area and surrounding Alamo Township. McCormick has been missing for nearly a week as of Tuesday evening.
