Nicole R. Radke passed away at her home in Schoolcraft, Michigan, on May 5, 2026, at the age of 50. She lived her life with a fierce spirit and left a legacy of love for those who knew her.

Though her time here was far too short, Nicole lived fully, fiercely, and with a spirit that could never be forgotten.

The Kalamazoo Gazette published the obituary on May 11, 2026, noting she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Nicole graduated from Schoolcraft High School in 1993 and earned her LPN from Southwestern Michigan College in 1998. She later received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan in 2007. In 2010, she received the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses, a prestigious recognition honoring nurses who provide exceptional care and compassion to families.

Her legacy will live on through the love she gave so freely and the memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her.

Nicole was an experienced hiker who traveled to Glacier National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Zion National Park, and many other parks and trails throughout her life. She also had a passion for learning and was an avid reader, becoming a familiar and cherished face at the Schoolcraft Library.

Above all else, Nicole loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world and the greatest joy of her life.

Nicole married Gabriel Radke on June 18, 2011. Survivors include her children Morgan Livernois, Shelby Piper, Caden Sukich, and Ella Radke. Grandchildren Adalyn Livernois, Colter Livernois, and Ava Sukich also survive. Her parents Gary and Kathy Wood, sister Natalie Wood Bailey, great-grandmother Cleta Meyle, and extended family are also living.

A gathering to honor and celebrate Nicole's life will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Wind & James in Schoolcraft, Michigan. The family will welcome friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be given to the Schoolcraft Library and the Portage Chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous.
