THREE RIVERS, Mich. — A 66-year-old Three Rivers man faces multiple felony charges after law enforcement seized suspected narcotics and three firearms during a residential search warrant operation Wednesday, Sept. 16.
Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) detectives executed the search warrant at a residence in the 800 block of Fourth Street in Three Rivers, SWET said in a statement. During the search, detectives located suspected narcotics, evidence of narcotics trafficking, three guns, and ammunition.
The 66-year-old man living at the residence was arrested and lodged at the St. Joseph County Jail on multiple felony charges, including felony firearm offenses, possession of firearms and ammunition by a prohibited person, possession of dangerous drugs, and maintaining a drug house. The suspect is prohibited from possessing guns and ammunition due to previous felony convictions, according to officials.
During the operation, several members of the Saint Joseph Valley Special Response Team (SRT) were exposed to an active pesticide application at the residence. The responders were treated and released from a local hospital.
SWET was assisted in the operation by the SRT, the Three Rivers Police Department, the Three Rivers Fire Department, and the Michigan State Police K9 Unit.
