VICKSBURG, Miss. — The Vicksburg Police Department has made two arrests in connection with a shooting Saturday morning at a gas station on Halls Ferry Road, police said.
Officers responded around 10:51 a.m. on Sept. 12 to 2607 Halls Ferry Road after receiving a report of a man who may have been shot. When officers arrived, they found evidence of a shooting in the parking lot near the gas pumps, police said.
A short time later, Shaquille Guise, 26, arrived at a local hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. Guise was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center for further treatment.
Vicksburg police said Tuesday that Keandre Harris, 25, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit a crime, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Janasha Tyler, 26, is charged with aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit a crime.
Police have not released a motive for the shooting, but said the investigation is ongoing.
