Suspect in Custody After Incident on Butterfly Road

*OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich.* — A 41-year-old woman is in custody after allegedly shooting a man early Saturday morning at an apartment complex in Oshtemo Township, according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office.

The incident occurred around 4:55 a.m. near Butterfly Road and Green Meadow Road, when deputies responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment in the 700 block of Butterfly Road.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 31-year-old man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg. The woman was taken into custody without incident, KCSO said in a release.

The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
