KALAMAZOO, MI -- A 30-year-old woman was shot and killed early Saturday morning in the city's Northside neighborhood, according to Kalamazoo Public Safety.
Officers heard several gunshots near Florence Street and Cobb Avenue around 2:17 a.m. and responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they learned the woman had already been transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The woman was pronounced dead at the hospital. Authorities have not yet released her name.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety has not released any information about a suspect being sought, nor has it shared details about what may have led to the shooting.
